Abstract

The relevance of the study lies in the need for further improvement of treatment strategies based on current protocols for adenoiditis and medication-induced rhinitis, aimed at rapid restoration of the physiological structure and function of the nasal cavity and nasopharyngeal mucosa.

Objective: To optimize the treatment of patients with medication-induced rhinitis and adenoiditis.

Materials and Methods: This was a post-marketing comparative study evaluating the clinical efficacy and tolerability of the seawater nasal spray "Sparklin" as part of complex therapy, conducted in parallel groups. The study included 100 patients with medication-induced rhinitis and adenoiditis.

To assess mucociliary clearance during treatment, patients in both groups underwent a saccharin test and rhinocytogram (microscopic examination of a nasal smear). Additionally, nasal mucus pH was measured using a pH probe.

Conclusions: The nasal spray "Sparklin" is an effective component of complex therapy for medication-induced rhinitis and adenoiditis. Its use accelerates the restoration of mucociliary clearance, normalizes nasal mucosal pH, and improves rhinocytological findings in patients with medication-induced rhinitis and grade II-III adenoid hypertrophy.
